    PRETTY LILAC FLOWERS in a SMALL LIMOGES DISH FROM AUSTRIA
    I am calling the little flowers lilacs because they look like something I used to see growing in grass. They have 5 petals so are different from the lilac shrub. White Limoges dishes and plates were often handpainted. I can't say for sure if this is hand-painted, but the design is very nice.
    This is from the 1930s/40s or earlier. Signed on back by Bassett of Austria in their hallmark for Limoges.
