On offer is a wonderful vintage Moroccan Berber African Copal Amber bead Necklace. These are HUGE beads of African Copal “Amber” (not Eastern-European Amber). Used as trade beads for centuries, this beautiful fossilized resin is equally at home as modern jewelry. These beads all show their age with gorgeous inclusion lines. The beads vary somewhat in size – the largest is about 2 inches x 2 inches and the smallest is 1 x 1.5 inches. The total weight of this necklace of 9 beads is 559.1 grams – wow!
