2001 Centenary of Federation Proof Coin Collection
This beautiful collection of 20 proof coins produced by the Royal Australian Mint commemorates Australia’s Centenary of Federation. The coins in this set feature symbols of each of Australia’s States and Territories, together with coin designs that reflect the vision and talent of Australia’s youth. And symbols of the unity of this vast land.
The commonwealth Coast of Arms in full color is depicted on the commemorative 50 cent coin while the logo of the National Council for the Centenary of Federation is shown as a special two-color design on the coin. The pad-printed designs on these two coins are central to the whole collection, representing the unity of Federation and centenary celebrations.
The nine other 50 cent coins in this set depict the Coats of Arms of Australia’s States and self-governing Territories.
Nine commemorative 20 cent coins feature designs by school students reflecting ideas that the youth of Australia consider to be special about their own State or Territory. These designs were selected in a competition for primary and secondary school students from across Australia.
The obverses of all the coins feature the standard effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
Struck to the highest Proof quality by the Royal Australian Mint on specially prepared blanks using hand polished dies, the mirror like table of the coins complements the superb finish of the raised frosted designs.

This coin set is in
MINT
condition, it is from my "NEW-OLD-STOCK" and has been in my personal coin collection since 2001 and I am now starting to sell off that collection.  Stored in plastic tubs in a smoke free home this set is in MINT condition with all packaging included.
